Contents flatplan

For my contents page i chose to emulate the basic layout of the Q magazine contents page I uploaded previously. this is the basic flat plan i created.

this NME contents page is also quite similar the the Q magazine contents. the same coulour scheme is used (red black and white) which are calssic colous of newspapers and tabloids. However, this contents page is more filled with alot more writing. Although this may seem more fussy, it could be useful as it had a band index, making it easier to locate the pages a certain band feature on.

Contents pages

The Q Magazine contents page is fairly basic. the simple text box and list of page numbers and features makes it easy to read and look up certain topics. it i not over crowded and the use of this and only a small colour scheme is a good idea as contents pages in magazine are usually kept clean and fuss free. the main attraction point of this issue is shown by the large picture of the band which is alson the focal point of the page. i like the way the text is bordered round the photo.

Other house style ideas

i wanted to add more variety to my ideas of house style, just in case the ones i already had didn't quite work out for me. this collage includes more photos, because i want my magazine to have quite a fresh fashionable feel and these images keep this in mind.
